It's never too late to have a happy childhood!
I was raised in Siler City, NC, by two of the sweetest kindest parents, who made my life joyful.
From my photos I look happy — even in my diapers. As Bob Goff says: “where great joy is a habit extravagant love is a reflex”.
My parents believed in me and put their love in action each time I announced my newest venture: “Mom would say: ‘just always be honest and true’. They don’t teach that stuff in college! Dad didn’t say a lot, but always gave what he had from his heart. His smile and a listening ear was about all he could afford working at the Cotton Mill.
All kids have an occasional ‘hitch-in-their-get-along’, and I was no exception. But I realized early in the game, “attitude and effort” are two of the only things you can control!
Mother Theresa whose actions spoke so loudly you could barely hear what she was saying, shared her advice:
“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
Maybe you weren't as blessed with loving parents as I. But nothing should stop you from being a blessing to others. It's your turn!
Put that light inside you into action. Love!
You were born with it!
