How do you make a salad? Maybe you just use basic ingredients like lettuce tomatoes and cucumbers. But a truly great salad takes more creativity. It's about adding all kinds of different flavors and textures to make it fabulous.
Zig Ziglar, my mentor said: "What you feed your mind determines your appetite"
Your mind is a lot like a salad. What you put in it is what you get out.
Start with some basic ingredients – your thoughts, your beliefs, and your experiences.
But if you want to make your mind truly great, you've gotta get creative.
Add Humor! Like adding croutons to a salad, humor adds a little bit of crunch and a whole lot of flavor to your character. Laugh at yourself when you make a mistake, or look for the humor in a particularly tough situation. You'll be much more enjoyable to be around.
Add Curiosity! Spice it up! Be curious about the world around you. Ask questions and seek out new challenges which helps you keep things fresh and interesting. It helps you learn and grow! Never lose your appetite for curiosity!
Most importantly, add Gratitude. Like a nice, balsamic vinegar to your salad - gratitude ties flavors together and makes everything fresher! Expressing gratitude can do wonders for your mind. It'll help you stay positive, even in tough times, and will remind you of all the good things in your life. Gratitude turns what you have in your own bowl, into enough! Like with a salad, you can't just throw all the ingredients into your mind and hope for the best. Actively cultivate humor, curiosity, and gratitude. Look for opportunities to laugh, ask questions, and express thankfulness.
