Action is the first step in starting anything.
Whether launching a business, pursuing a goal, or making life changes, the first step is ACTION! And it is crucial! Action creates momentum and builds confidence. Most people know what or how to do something, they just put it into ACTION!
Vision without action is a daydream! Action without vision is a nightmare!
Self-help books are wonderful. But all you really need is Action, Consistency, and Self-discipline.
1. Knowledge in Action
There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action. Just because you're busy doesn't mean you're making progress. Never confuse activity with productivity.
Unless you apply your knowledge, it means nothing. . . . like the pilot who announces from the Cockpit: "Ladies and Gentlemen, I have good news and bad news: The good news is we are now traveling at twice the speed of sound. But the bad news is -- we're going the wrong direction!. Action without understanding might take your flight to Tupelo instead of Paris!
2. Consistency in action is imperative for total success.
Consistency is the steady and unwavering commitment to maintain our actions over time.
Consistency in our actions creates a foundation in reaching our goals.
Consistency in action is what transforms average into excellence!
It's not about what we do once in a while, it's about what we do every day! Without consistency we will never reach our goals.
3. Self-discipline sets you apart and enhances your credibility.
We won't always stay motivated, so we must learn to be disciplined. The best way to gain self control is to practice it. Discipline is rarely enjoyable, but almost always profitable!
Our actions should align with our goals and are often uncomfortable. Everything that improves your life is going to be uncomfortable at first. But embracing discomfort is essential for personal development. Push those boundaries! Strive for improvement!
Not taking action is like staying in the huddle and never running the play!
I hope these thoughts will inspire you. But most of all, I want it to move you to action.
. . . . . DID I MENTION TAKE ACTION?
