A Fish Out Of Water
If a fish is judged by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is a failure.
I can speak from experience because during my high school years, I enrolled in first-year Latin . . . TWO TIMES! If you're wondering why I took first-year Latin twice, the straightforward answer is that I failed it the first time! What was I thinking? I could barely speak English must less try to learn a foreign language.
