    What If. . .

We all know people who start every sentence with "What If. . ."

They are typically asking a hypothetical question about a potential situation, often exploring the consequences of something that might happen, especially if it could be negative or uncertain.

A pessimist usually sees the bad in everything. They often start a sentence with "What if" followed by a negative scenario, like "What if this new job doesn't work out?" or "What if my insurance doesn't cover it?"

People aren't always optimistic or always pessimistic, but most people tend to lean toward one of these thinking patterns.

The good news is when you tend to be more pessimistic, you're not destined to always think that way. WE CAN CHANGE! We become more optimistic by surrounding ourselves with people who reflect a positive attitude!

We must learn to recognize the difference between Pessimism and Optimism. . . . . both are contagious!

George Bernard Shaw once said:  Both optimists and pessimists contribute to society. The optimist invents the airplane and the pessimist invents the parachute!

I once told someone "Things tend to always work out in the end!"

    They responded: "What if . . . . they don't?"

And I said "Well, it isn't the end yet!"

My friend and mentor Zig Ziglar once said this:

"OPTIMISM IS GOING AFTER MOBY DICK IN A ROWBOAT AND TAKING THE TARTAR SAUCE WITH YOU."
