Lazy?

How do you define 'Laziness'? (or are you just too lazy to give it a thought?)
All of us define Laziness differently
Are you motivationally challenged?
Are you frugal with your energy?
Are you not easily aroused to activity?
Do you practice conservative participation?
No matter how you say it, they all have the same meaning. If any of these apply to you -- get out of your La-Z-Boy, put down your Super-Sized Slurpy and look in the mirror!
As a boy I remember one of my uncles -- who perfected laziness -- teasing my mom about being lazy. Mom always replied, "If I had a lazy bone in my body, I would have it cut out."
Mom always worked very hard and stayed busy at home. She cooked all our meals even making sure my dad had a good lunch in his lunchbox. My dad worked in the textile mill for over forty years and we didn't have a lot of money, but mom stretched it as far as it would go. Almost all of our clothes were made at our home by mom.
She spent a lot of her time washing and ironing our clothes and hanging them outside on the clothesline to dry. ( I still remember the sunshine smell!) And in her spare time she canned vegetables -- all from our garden! We ate well! Every meal she made homemade biscuits, and was well known in our little town for her delicious pies and cakes.
Mom was responsible for making our lives the best they could be! And she took her job seriously! When I was younger I didn't appreciate all her sacrifices, hard work, or how blessed I was growing up!
She taught me by example that if you want something you have to work for it!
We cannot go through life thinking everyone else owes us something. As we get older and wiser we realize that when people are given anything without having to earn it, they become ungrateful, lazy and less happy.
Does Jesus love a lazy person? Of course -- He loves everybody! But He strongly dislikes lazy attitudes that keep us from reaching our maximum potential.
