Puddle or Pipeline?

One of my favorite pastors, David Jeremiah, used this illustration in one of his sermons when he asked: "Are you a puddle or a pipeline?"
When water collects in a puddle, it becomes stagnant and brackish; it has no outlet or circulation. A pipeline, on the other hand, allows fresh water to flow through to the spigot for the benefit of others.
What flows in is meant to flow out.
Maybe it's time to do a quick evaluation. Are you keeping blessings to yourself for your own pleasure, as they stagnate in your puddle or . . . are they flowing through your pipeline as a blessing to others?
As long as we're sharing and letting our blessings flow through our pipeline, with our generosity, selflessness, and support, others benefit from our joy. We all might not be able to share financially, but we can always share our time, our skills and our emotional support.
As you bless others, you will find something amazing: God continuously replenishes your pipeline.
Pray that God will bless you and make you a conduit of living water.
