Bad Habits!

Updated: 1 minute ago

My Grannie, Rosie
What is a BAD HABIT? Some say it's a habit that is different than yours!
In 'the good-old-days' before warning labels, cigarettes were heavily marketed on television and in other publications, as glamorous, relaxing, and sophisticated. Doctors even appeared in cigarette advertisements, and major league athletes were spokesmen for promoting smoking.
Long before cigarettes were popular, people dipped snuff. My Grannie, Rosie, found joy in her Snuff Tin! In those days there were no health warning labels.
We've all got our bad habits. Some are more visible than others, like overeating! I was trained to clean my plate by mom, who made my sister and me eat everything on our plate before we could have dessert.
In order to stop a bad habit you must first admit you have a bad habit!
Are you being tempted by any of these bad habits or situations in your own life?
Do you procrastinate by putting off important tasks until the last minute!
Mindless grazing between meals or eating comfort foods out of boredom may cause Overeating.
Physical nervous tics such as nail biting may be triggered by stress.
Constantly doubting your abilities or negative self-talk, often undermines your abilitiy to get things done.
Overspending or making unnecessary impulse-buys can add a huge financial strain to your life.
By preparing ourselves mentally in advance, we may be able to avoid these tempting situations.
Practice how you are going to handle the challenge.
Be accountable.
Replace unhealthy behaviors with healthy ones.
Reward yourself for small steps!
When you outgrow bad habits, you also outgrow the people who thrive on telling you about them!

VOTE THE BIBLE
Today is voting day — one of the most critical elections of our lifetime.
If good men and women do nothing, evil will prevail. This is not about party labels. It is about our nation's moral and spiritual survival. This midterm election is about biblical truth and the future of our children.
We must never let socialist or communist leaders shape America's future or allow their agenda to further influence the next generation. Vote for candidates who are pro-life, pro-Israel, support religious freedom, and love the United States of America.
Exercise your right to vote today—too many have given their lives so we can have that inalienable right. When you enter the voting booth, vote your values. Vote the Bible.
Remember: If we do not use our freedom to defend our freedom, we will lose our freedom.
May God bless you and America.
