Real Captains don't wear gold anchors around their neck!
In the early 80's, I bought my first houseboat and "navigated" it around Lake Lanier. My friends thought that I knew nothing about boating. (And I proved them right!) They named my boat "Ram One" because I ran into everything, and I was known on the lake as "Captain Crunch." (Wonder why?)
"If the highest aim of a captain were to preserve his ship, he would keep it in the port forever."
Being the captain of your own life is a lot like being captain of a real ship. You can't just sail around aimlessly and hope to end up somewhere good. You need to have a plan, a destination, and a course of action to get there. But even with the best-made plans, things can still go awry. Captains must learn to adapt! Unexpected storms come up quickly and the wind changes.
But good captains don't let these obstacles sink their ship. They adjust their sails, change course if necessary, and keep moving forward toward their goal.
LIFE LESSON
Become the captain of your own ship!
Take charge of your life, set your own course, and don't let anything or anyone steer you away from your goal.
Remember, when things get tough as they inevitably will, don't give up. Adjust your sails, keep moving forward, and before you know it, you'll have reached your destination.
So, what are you waiting for?
Cast off those ropes and set sail towards your dreams!
