If you are more fortunate than others, build a longer table -- not a taller fence!
So, there are two types of people in this world: Givers and Takers. But let's face it, we all start out as little Takers, screaming "Mine! Mine!" every chance we get. And honestly, it's hard to break that habit.
True giving is selfless and should come from a place of love and compassion for others, never expecting anything in return!
The Bible has a lot to say about giving: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
And most importantly:
Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." -Matthew 6:19-21
God loves a cheerful giver.
When was the last time you tried it?
It's possible to give without loving, but impossible to love without giving.
Look for ways to give selflessly to those in need, whether it's through donating your time, your resources, or your talents. Remember, giving can bring joy and fulfillment to your life as well as to those you are helping.
Like I always say:
Blessed are those who can give without remembering and receive without forgetting.
LIFE LESSON:
You can never out-give God!
