An elderly woman was sitting alone in a busy coffee shop waiting for her order. Her face reflected a lifetime of sorrow. The barista noticed her sadness, and as he handed her the coffee, gave her a warm, genuine smile. The woman left without saying a word.
The next week, the barista received a letter in the mail containing a photo of the woman and a note which read: 'The last time I was in, I was having a terrible day, and was so discouraged. But your smile made me feel seen and reminded me that the world held warmth. Thank you for smiling at me. You brightened my outlook'.
A smile is something that is no earthly good to anyone until it is given away.
Smile. It is healthy!
Smiling helps to reduce stress and has tremendous healing benefits: It lowers cortisol (the stress hormone), reduces anxiety, and helps you feel calmer and more in control during difficult situations.
Smile -- even when it feels fake!
A positive outlook symbolizes strength and hope, especially during tough times.
When you see a person without a smile, give them one of yours. For nobody needs a smile as much as those who have none.
Smiles are infectious. Inspiring! The memory of a smile can linger!
BE THE REASON SOMEONE SMILES TODAY!
