You can only understand people if you see yourself in them.
If we turn our heads the other way, we may have missed an opportunity to benefit from the blessings of deepening our sense of compassion. It's important to get close enough to the situation to see ourselves in their position.
It's all about empathy!
Showing empathy taxes your emotions, costs time, money and requires energy. But the heart-felt payoffs are unlimited.
'Empathy is a "muscle" that can be strengthened through active listening, curiosity, and understanding others' feelings and experiences.
Deepening empathy involves setting aside judgment and actively engaging with others who are not like you, to expand your perspective.'
Mother Theresa once said:
“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.”
Empathy leads to compassion, which in turn leads to action and connection!
Always remember the importance of Empathy!
