    It’s all about me!

A young man went on a date with a beautiful girl. He was so eager to impress her, he couldn't stop talking about himself. Finally he said,

"Enough about me. What do you think about me?"

The term "Me Generation" started in the 1970's to describe the Baby Boomers, and was noted for its emphasis on self-focus and personal gratification.

Today's social media has added gas to that flame! Overnight, the cell phone became the world's new mirror and megaphone!

It's gone downhill from there putting even more emphasis on 'me-me-me'.

While Social Media connects us to others, it may actually lead to greater self-centeredness as people strive to make their “presence” known.

Ego-driven competition, makes it difficult for people to offer genuine support without expecting an immediate, selfish return.

The next time you post something, ask yourself: Will this be helpful or encouraging to someone or is it designed to build up my own ego? When browsing other people's social media profiles, it could be more beneficial to leave specific comments instead of just "likes" by sending a direct message of support.

It's always been my intention in writing my blog to encourage and inspire you!

By the way, enough about me! . . . What do YOU think about me?

"Those who read my blog are happier, more intelligent and better looking than those who don’t, according to a study that I made up."
