The wheel and the printing press are frequently recognized as the most significant inventions that influenced civilization. Today, without question, A-i has exceeded and will continue exceeding our highest expectations.
Over two years ago, I wrote a blog about A-i. At the time, I neither understood nor believed in it, and most people were unfamiliar with it. Today, however, it dominates most conversations as it will soon affect every area of our lives:
In healthcare, A-i can help doctors and surgeons identify diseases in scans more quickly, saving lives and cutting wait times. In transportation, A-i enables self-driving cars and enhances traffic management.
A-i can generate text, images and even create videos! It can be used for fraud detection and risk management and can assist with legal research, document review, and contract analysis.
What we now know about A-i . . . . is just the tip of the iceberg!
Someone recently said: 'By far the greatest danger of Artificial Intelligence is that people conclude too early that they understand it!'
Engineer Steve Sasson invented the digital camera in Kodak's R&D labs in the 1970s. At that time Kodak owned over 80% of the film business in the U.S. But their leadership rejected the digital camera concept. By refusing to even consider a new way of doing things, this giant company, which was a leader in their field -- declared bankruptcy in 2012.
The difficulty lies, not so much in developing new ideas, as in escaping from old ones.
When was the last time someone brought you a great new idea . . . and you chose not to consider it, because you were too busy worrying about the task at hand or didn't want to get out of your comfort zone?
The next time someone approaches you with a new product or idea maybe you need to pause, do your research and consider learning more about it.
We need to be both cautious and open-minded, about A-i, but just because we might not understand Artificial Intelligence or it looks different, doesn't mean it's not a great idea.
Someone has said:
A-i will never be smarter than humans. A-i lacks the wisdom of the heart, compassion of the soul, and divine love of creation.
Bottom line: A-I is a game-changer and moving faster than Superman chasing a speeding bullet. STAY ALERT and REMAIN VIGILANT! Embrace it wisely, but insist on ethical regulations and push for fair rules!
A-i WON'T REPLACE HUMANS, BUT HUMANS USING A-i WILL .
